In Memoriam
A place to post your thoughts for members of our Armed Forces lost on active service and Old Salts and Royals who have crossed the bar'.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Two Submariners have “Crossed the Bar on their Last Patrol” They were not members of the Submariners Association, so I have no record of their submarine service.
J. (Jack) Allen. AB. LTO. Age 84. Submarine Service 1945-46, Served in Upshot, Auriga and Tantalous. (Information supplied by the Submarine Museum Archivist)
Commander Tom Brinkley MBE RN The only information I have on him, is that he was at one time EO of the Resolution and was awarded the MBE while serving in Reso. It was also reported he joined/transferred to the RAN; I have no details of any of that service

Finknottle
There are often small articles in the local press about ex-matelots who have crossed the bar - would you like them to be included in this new thread?
