Book Competition - BITTER WATER
Easy and quick to enter for a free copy of this new book - what's not to like (see what I did there)
Gordon Ferris is a new author who has written a series of books set just after World War 2. This latest book is Bitter Water and for your chance to win a copy of this eminently readable book, just answer the following easy questions.
Competition will run until Sunday 15th April at around mid-day (ish).
This is a great book and very easy to read. It has a lot crammed in to the pages: former policeman and war hero who served with 51st Highland Division and now a budding newspaper reporter, a beautiful lawyer, gang warfare in Glasgow, Vigilantes, Wee Frees and crooked landed gentry plus, of course, lots of bodies.
Have a go at the competition and have a chance to enjoy a good book from an up and coming author. If you don't win then it will be worth buying it!

04-04-12, 15:05 #7Not possible - I was using a website dedicated to the history of the GP. Just following the usual advice - Google is your friend! Or is this a clever ruse to make us think we are wrong . . .?

Which reminds me of the old joke - who played for both sides in the 1932 Scottish Cup Final?

Just saying like. Better luck next time!
06-04-12, 07:00 #9Nice try at dis-information Wits. Strangely enough Q2 is the only one that everyone has got correct so far. So if you feel you have the answer wrong do you want me to change your answer from your current 'guess' ?
In response to the 'Google is wrong' etc I refer you to the rules of the competition:
1. A-G is not wrong and his say is final
2. If you feel A-G is wrong please refer to Rule 1
