Shipmates please help,

Will be moving down to Portsmouh from Faslane in the new year, can anyone tell me where the married quarters are in the area, I know that there is the peak lane area in Fareham and of course Rowner, however would like to make an informed application for a quarter before I am told I can't have my first, second and third choice !,,

Get in touch with the Hives at Nelson, Collingwood and Sultan. They all have useful information leaflets about the SFA patches in their areas and can email them to you.

The informationi sheets tell you where the SFA are, how many houses there are and of what grade are on each patch. They often include street names, ideal information especially if you are planning a recce or having a look on Google Earth!

There are still some quarters available in Rowner (not many though) and I know there is definatley some up Paulsgrove... Hilsea has gone i believe and so has Eastney.

There used to be a rather nice Married Patch in Gosport. Google Merganser Crescent. Not too far out of the way and nice accommodation
Uncertain as to whether MOD still owns it though

you're thinking of Alver Village, 7 phases of new housing (mostly affordable housing, but some high end) to include a new Tesco and local shops, that is replacing the tower block on nimrod drive and all the low level houses (old MQ's from way back...) in between Nimrod drive and Howe road. I think Taylor Wimpey are doing most of it, and offer armed forces discounts, not sure though...

Eastney is still here, 3 bed houses and maisonnettes, 2 bed flats.

DIO have their own website where all the leaflets on HIC's etc can be view in PDF format, just google it, sorry, don't know how to attach links...
